Module 1
Making your Grand Entrance
You know that moment when someone walks in and everyone just notices them, and you can’t even explain why? That’s the entrance effect.
The secret isn’t arrogance or showing off, it’s presence.
There are some tricks that you can use to achieve this effect for yourself:
- Before you walk into a room, pause for half a second. Breathe, lift your head, roll your shoulders back, and walk in like you belong there, because you do. That tiny pause changes everything. It signals calm confidence. Most people rush through the door without thinking. They burst in mid-sentence, glued to their phone, or scanning for someone they know. You can instantly separate yourself from the noise by being intentional. If you want to practice this, try it in small everyday settings. Walk into a coffee shop, a meeting, or even a friend’s gathering. Notice how people react when you walk in slowly, shoulders back, with calm energy instead of rushing. You’ll see heads turn before you even realize it’s happening.
- Walk in at your own pace. You don’t have to strut or make it dramatic. Just move like you’re not in a hurry. People subconsciously read that as control, and control feels powerful.
- And here’s the trick most people miss: don’t rush to speak. Take a beat, scan the room, make eye contact with one or two people, then start talking or moving toward someone. You set the tone before you even open your mouth.
